The Young Minds Project

The Young Minds project has been set up to host a network of support for Young People through positive activities, mentoring, and education.

The project aims to support any Young Person aged between 10 and 19 through mentoring. We support young people who may not be achieving their potential and may be at risk. The project supports the core values of Every Child Matters and Youth Matters paper set out by parliament in 2005. We offer Young People learning that is relevant to their lives and appropriate to their age, experience, and interest. We are proud to offer a service that is individually focused, and encourages personal and social development. Mentoring has proved to be an effective way of working with young people, and achieving positive outcomes.

We hope to work in partnership with young people, their parents/carers and other professionals to provide high quality, flexible programmes of support. The project can offer a service that focuses on individual's needs and expands opportunities for young people in a variety of ways; such as giving young people support through mentoring, providing a positive experience through activities, and supporting young people with education/training.

Highly trained staff and volunteers with an ability to relate to young people who have a keen knowledge of cognitive behavioural techniques will be working together. The Young Minds Project is committed to making a difference to young people at risk.
